How do I add a future to FuturesLive?
You add futures to FuturesLive through the Portfolios tab. You can either add a future to an existing portfolio or to a newly created portfolio. To create a new portfolio, just click on the '+' button on the top right corner of the Portfolios tab. This will bring up a screen where you can input the name of portfolio and save it. To add a future to any portfolio, just click on that portfolio and then click on the '+' button on the top right corner in the next screen. This will bring up the search screen where you can search for any future you want by name or symbol (Eg. 'Crude' or 'Oil' or 'CL' will bring up results that include the Crude Oil future). To add a search result, just click on that result cell and it will be added to the portfolio.
What future contract is shown in the portfolio page?
The front month is always shown in the portfolio page. Clicking on the chain image will give you the whole future chain for that specific future.

To see the future chain, just click on the chain image that is shown on the right side of the cell for the given front month, under each portfolio.
How do I add a future contract to the Watchlist screen?

Then, click on the chain to bring up the whole future chain for that future. Under the Settings tab, click 'General Options' and then turn off 'Show Watchlist Grouped'. This will make the watchlist to show ungrouped so that you can move any contract wherever you want. To move them around, go back to the 'Watchlist' screen, then click 'Edit' and then tap and hold to the right of the cell (where it shows three horizontal lines) and drag the cell wherever you want it to be. When you are done arranging, just click on 'Done' on the top right.
How can I tell when futures are expired or not, and when they are the front month?
Expired futures always show the background in a light red color and always display 'Expired' instead of the expiration date. Front months are distinguished by the blue icon to the left of the symbol.
When does FuturesLive update the future chains?
FuturesLive updates the chains for each future every 24 hrs. only when the app is running. While updating, it will show a notification at the bottom of the screen saying 'Updating Future Chain...' During this update, its better to let FuturesLive finish the update before adding any new futures or changing a setting, but you should be able to go into the portfolios and see details about each future while its updating. If you haven't opened FuturesLive in a while or you just installed it, it might take some time to do the updates.
